2 on Tuesday

2 on Tuesday

If you're joining me from My Chihuahua Bites! - Welcome! If you want to link up, just click on the logo above.

This week's question is:

What were your two favorite childhood toys?

Let me begin by saying I'm really not digging some of the toy "do-overs" from my childhood. Strawberry Shortcake used to be cute. I'm really not digging the new look. And the new Care Bears have funny shaped heads which makes me sad because my Care Bears were one of my favorites growing up. I think I had the entire collection.
This is what my Bedtime Bear looked like.

This is what the new Care Bears look like. Something just isn't right - maybe it's because I like what I like and I LIKED MY CARE BEARS!

However, my absolute favorite toy was my Glow Worm! LOVE, LOVE, LOVED it! I'm pretty sure I slept with it every, single night and we had to replace the batteries like a gazillion times. I'd probably still sleep with it if I still had it. I really loved my Glow Worm!

Happy 2 on Tuesday!

Nothing is as awesome as it was in the 80s. I had Cabbage Patch dolls as a child and their entire body was cloth and their hair was yarn. Now they have plastic heads and creepy hair.

You are sooo right. I was just thinking about that when I was writing my 2onTuesday post. I was obsessed with Rainbow Brite, and she has been totally redone for the 'new' age. I'll take 80's stuff anyday!

Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, Glow Worms...I want to go back to the 80s where life seemed easy & fun! I remember going to the Care Bears movie & dancing near the front with my Care Bear [can't remember which one]!

Oh Care Bears! I forgot about those. My brother and I all had them. No gender based toys in our house. LOL I think I still have mine and at least one of my brother's bears too. Awesome. And I agree, they need to stop remaking stuff!! They just make it look terrible.

I loved my Care Bears! I agree they don't make the toys as good as they used to. I had a Glo-Warm too, my mother in law got one for my daughter and she always used it for naps whenever she was over to her house.
